Gene studied software engineering at the University of Sydney, then spent a decade in Silicon Valley, including time at Google, Minerva, and other technology startups. In 2018 he joined an Australian law firm as Chief Technology Officer, and was underwhelmed by the state of the practice-management solutions he saw in market.
With a keen mind for innovation, he built Australia’s first modern practice management platform, based on how law firms actually work. Designed with transparency, accuracy, quality and compliance as its core principles, Logic Firm operates reliably and delivers on customer promises.
The team
Where tech meets legal, finally
Account Management
The same people you know and trust oversee your firm’s needs from day one.
Product Development
We invest heavily in product development to evolve our platform based on your user experience and direct feedback.
Account management
Our dedicated account managers oversee our partnership with you, from beginning to end.
No hand-balling you between different reps, ticketing robots or overseas teams. Work with the same local people you know and trust, from day one.
Megan Purcell
Head of Growth
Spent her career helping organisations get real value from technology, service management and customer success, with deep roots in help desk and service environments. She is usually the first call for a firm working out whether this is the right move.
Clio Wall
Client Experience Specialist
Studied Business while building a career in customer experience, and believes the best client relationships run on trust, ownership and genuine partnership. She is usually the person a firm talks to most in their first few months on Logic Firm.
Local experts in legal tech
Direct communication, no nonsense.
We know that good partnerships are built on communication and trust. So we’ve designed our team to funnel your feedback directly to our developers, ensuring our product is responsive to your firm’s needs.
David Carter
Senior Software Engineer
Studied software engineering and cyber security at the University of Wollongong. Since 2022 he has worked directly with clients to turn what firms actually need into what gets built.
Daniel Baker
Senior Software Engineer
Moved from the UK to Sydney and brings experience across government, environmental and insurance software, mainly backend, but just as comfortable on the parts you see.
Daniel Brown
Senior Software Engineer
Builds and maintains the platform as part of Logic Firm’s Australian product team.
Tessa Fabry
Software Engineer
Joined in 2023 after a web-development bootcamp at Coder Academy, and has worked across a wide range of the platform since. Outside work she is usually mountain biking or surfing.
Ross Ritchie
Junior Software Engineer
Spent five years in corporate tax consulting before retraining as a software engineer, by way of volunteering on a podcasting app for children. He understands how a professional-services firm actually runs.
Kaitlyn Briden
UI/UX Designer
Studied design computing at the University of Sydney, specialising in interaction design and accessibility. She leads the interface you use every day, turning genuinely complex legal workflows into something that feels simple.
Stephen Lincoln
QA Engineer
Has tested this platform end-to-end since 2023. If it has shipped, he is a large part of the reason you can trust it.
Your expectations, our standards
We believe every interaction should leave your firm better than before.
That’s our standard for everything, from support calls, to training sessions and product releases.
Accountability meets action
We measure the success of our support based on issue resolution, not simply response times.
No robots, just local people you can trust.
